Project
Geary Triangle, San Francisco
The historical map of 1880 San Francisco street morphology is evidence of the use of street cars which could be a reason for this triangular intersection. Richmond provides opportunities for east-west tram connection.
Geary Transit Park fosters a mixed-use development as a transit and a micro public space for the Outer Richmond neighborhood. The Geary triangle site creates a safe node and accessible transit destination for the residents and tourists. The proposal of the tram along the Geary Boulevard and new EV Bus routes creates a sustainable mobility option for the community's residents.
The design programs the park as an active hangout zone throughout the day for the neighborhood and transforms the Geary Triangle to link the Outer Richmond District and Ocean Beach destinations.
